On Thursday, November 10th, Dan was involved in an accident at work that left him with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his hands and arms, along with 1st degree burns to his face. He was taken to St. Elizabeths Hospital where he was transferred to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where he was admitted to the Burn Unit.
Dan has full thickness burns to his hands and arms. He is scheduled for his first surgery on Monday, November 14th to remove all the remaining dead skin and to have skin substitutes placed. He will then have another surgery 12-14 days later for the skin grafts. He is looking at a minimum of 4 weeks at Regions Burn Unit.
His wife Stacy will be off work during this time focusing on helping her husband recover. Any funds received will go towards helping with any expenses for traveling back & forth to the hospital, medical expenses and meals for her & the kids.
