Due to the upcoming retirement of our current Training Director, The South Central MN JATC will now be accepting applications. The selection process will consist of an evaluation of submitted resumes and interviews conducted by the JATC Committee. Interested parties should submit a resume and cover letter detailing how you meet the qualifications to:

Help Save our Apprenticeship!!

Our Apprenticeship program is under attack by the Federal Department of Labor. I’m asking all of our brothers and sisters to go to the website listed below and ask to exclude construction apprenticeships from this new proposal. If made final, the proposal would establish a process for creation of “Standards Recognition Entities” (SREs) that would themselves recognize a new classification of apprenticeship programs, “Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs” (IRAPs). IRAPs would not be subject to requirements that our apprenticeship programs and other DOL registered apprenticeship programs are. Please take the time to submit your comments to the DOL in support of the construction industry exemption. Comments are due by Aug 26th.

Scroll down until you see fields for your contact information on the left side of the page if you are on a computer or in the center of the page if you are on a cellular phone. Please complete as many of these fields as you can. The more fields you complete the more individualized your comment letter will be.



Preview or edit your comment letter by clicking the red “preview” or “edit” buttons located at the bottom of the form. If you choose to edit your comment, please remember to be respectful and limit your comments to the proposed regulation.



Once you have reviewed your comment and made any changes you wish, please then hit submit. Your comment will be sent directly to the DOL. You will receive an emailed confirmation when the DOL processes your comment. After you have submitted your comment please share with your family and friends.

The local union will be closing the lobby starting Monday, March 30. and remaining closed until the stay home order is lifted by the Governor. In doing so, we will not be allowing book signing and re-sign in person. Book signing will temporarily be done by email. Re-signs will be done on-line, fax or mail, not in person. New book signing directions and forms will be located in the pickup box by the front door. Resign forms can be found there as well. Once filled out, place them in the dropbox. The new book signing rules can be found under the news tab on our web site. All daily activities will continue as usual.
